About the artist

I was born in Cambodia and adopted when I was about 9 months old. I lived in Japan with my family for a short time until we moved to Atlanta, Georgia where I currently live.

From when I was a baby and even still, my mom loved taking photos of the whole family. Every birthday, graduation, family trip, embarrassing yet funny memory, she captured them all. I definitely have her to thank for my love of art. I enjoy all forms of art, from painting, writing, graphic design, videography, to photography.

I had just started high school when I got my first camera I really invested in. I spent most of any free time I had, having friends model for me and if I wasn't doing that, I would try to go to events or photo meet ups with a bunch of other creatives. This helped expand my knowledge base on camera skills/functionality and also taught me proper etiquette when you're working with other artists, large teams, or clients. Those experiences were all very helpful when I started at The Art Institute of Atlanta for photography and film. There, I was able to further expand my expertise in different cameras, accessories, set design, post production, and lighting. I had also diversified my experience working with different subjects such as, children, adults, animals, food, and products.

I pride myself on being personable, relatable, driven, and positive. All of those traits have helped me excel and grow in my art, being a better leader, and improve my work ethic. I feel that I definitely thrive the most when I know i've made an impact on myself and the people i've worked with.
